PM Modi Inaugrates The Miyawaki Forest And The Maze Garden

New Momentum to Draw More Visitors to Ekta Naga Known as Kevadia 

Since it was unveiled four years ago, the Statue of Unity has quickly become a popular tourist attraction, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's opening of the Miyawaki Forest & Maze Garden has given the area new momentum to draw more visitors to the city. The Statue of Unity has become a significant tourist destination in the nation after welcoming more than 8 million visitors. The new attractions like Miyawaki forest, Maze garden and houseboat will further enhance the beauty and appeal of Ekta Nagar formerly known as Kevadia, in Narmada district in Gujarat. The other major tourist destinations surrounding the statue include Children Nutrition Park, Tent City, Cactus Garden, Arogya Van (Herbal Garden), Butterfly Garden, Vishwa Van, The Valley of Flowers (Bharat Van), Jungle Safari (state-of-art zoological park), Unity glow garden among others.               

Maze Garden

The Maze Garden, situated in the Ekta Nagar, is a sprawling property and has been created in a very short span of time of just 8 months.This is the biggest maze garden in the nation, covering three acres with a 2,100-meter circuit. It is fashioned after a "Shriyantra," which is thought to infuse the area with a pleasant energy. The garden is a standing "Yantra" that radiates good energy. The garden, known as "Bhul Bhulaiya," has a bewildering maze of paths. Since this area was previously used as a landfill, the metamorphosis of this area is likewise astounding to travellers. The old waste has been replaced with a modern garden with lush landscaping.Here, more than 1.8 seedlings, including Orange Gemin, Madhu Kamini, Glory Bovar, and Mehndi, have been planted. A case study on how to transform any landfill into a thriving environment where butterflies and honeybees are currently thriving is also provided by the revitalization of the "dump land."

Miyawaki Forests

Another alluring destination for visitors to the Statue of Unity and Ekta Nagar is Miyawaki Forests. Here, a thick Miyawaki forest has been built and given the name of a method developed by the Japanese ecologist Dr. Akira Miyawaki. Here, plants grow 10 times more quickly than in other places, and the forests are 30 times denser. With vigorous cultivation, a forest typically develops over 20 to 30 years, but with the Miyawaki process, a synthetic forest can be built in as little as 2 to 4 years. The Miyawaki Forest, which covers an area of about two acres, will be divided into the following areas: a mixed species area in Miyawaki; a native floral garden; a timber garden; a fruit garden; a medicinal garden. 

Ekta Houseboat

The first houseboat service in the region is Ekta Houseboat. Two tastefully equipped bedrooms, a dining room, a living room, an attached kitchen, a front deck, and an upper observation deck are all included in the 90 feet long and 20 feet broad houseboat. The art and culture of Gujarat and Kashmir are beautifully merged in the houseboat. The houseboat provides a rich and varied fusion of craftsmanship.
